about
Solia, which means “sun” in Walloon, is made out of accordion player Raquel Gigot (25 years of international tours,
four records with the band Orion; ten years of concerts and balls with her project “Etoile Musette” alongside Arnaud
Degimbe and Dirk van der Harst) and violinist and nyckelharpist Marielle Vancamp (Klezmamo, Eä, Manäcken, Les
Baladins du Miroir). Solia spreads, rearranges and modernises musical treasures from Wallonia, brings back to life
traditional melodies and songs whose manuscripts are conserved in museums, or lost in attics… A wonderful mission!
